  • App usage data (via Apple and PostHog)

  • Spending categories and transaction history
  • Currency preference and pay cycle start date

2. How We Use Your Data

We use this information to:

  • Diagnose bugs or crashes

All analytics data is anonymised and is never used for advertising or sold to third parties.

  • Apple App Store & Analytics – for purchases and usage insights
  • RevenueCat – to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases
  • PostHog (Cloud) – for product analytics and feature usage

These providers may collect anonymised data according to their own privacy practices. No personally identifiable information is intentionally transmitted.

4. Your Financial Data

broke is designed with privacy at its core. Your budget, spending history, pay cycle configuration, and transaction logs are stored entirely on your device. We never upload, sync, or have access to any financial information you enter.

Deleting the app removes all locally stored financial data permanently.

5. Your Privacy Controls

You may request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. We will permanently remove your account, stored preferences, and any analytics data linked to your profile within 30 days. To submit a deletion request, contact us at:

We will process your request and delete your account, preferences, and any identifiable analytics data stored via PostHog.

6. Children's Privacy

broke is available on the App Store and intended for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware of unintentional data collection from a child, we will delete it promptly.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with a new "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes go into effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
